The Medic Orchestra of the Semmelweis University had a great success in Bayreuth under the direction of Gergely Dubóczky. The Budapest based orchestra was founded in 2008 and gave now a concert in Bayreuth on the 19th July with the recommendation of the Richard Wagner Society. Nicolaus Richter (Chairman of the Bayreuth Wagner Society), András Bajai (Chairman of the Budapest Wagner Society) and Prof. András Batta (former president of the Liszt Academy) were also present at the concert in the Wagner Hall of the City Music School. The successful, full house concert was also attended by the South Korean singer Samuel Youn who sings the title role of The Flying Dutchman at the Bayreuth Festival this year.
